Equipment

ICE has a wide variety of equipment available across North America. This equipment includes: railcars, trucks, intermodal containers, container handlers, compactors, specialized cleaning equipment, industrial painting equipment, and other specialized equipment.

Transportation equipment, including railcars and containers, can be modified and customized as needed based on the specific needs of a project. All equipment is maintained in strict conformance with the manufacture and industry requirements and guidelines. ICE can make equipment available for short term and long term projects, along with specialized short term and long term rental/leases and purchase.

Low Sided Mill Gondolas

ICE offers our customers, low maintenance and heavy duty mill gondolas in both 52'6" and 66' interior lengths. The 52'6" car has an inside height of 5'6"; and a cubic capacity of approximately 2,750 cubic feet. The estimated load limit is 219,000 lbs. The 66' car has an inside height of 6'; and a cubic capacity of approximately 3,565 cubic feet and the estimated load limit is 209,000 lbs. All of our gondola cars have flat bottom steel floors. Because our cars are privately marked they can be modified with interior tie downs, steel or fiberglass lids, etc. With a privately marked car we can modify the car to suit your needs.
High Sided / High Cube Gondolas

ICE can provide our customers with high cube gondola cars that have interior walls that range between 8 and 9 feet tall. The cubic capacity of the cars is approximately 4,000 cubic feet and they are ideal for large components or C&D material. The load limit for the high sided gondola cars is 100 tons. The cars are privately marked and can be modified with interior tie downs, steel or fiberglass lids, etc.
Articulated Bulk Container
Cars and Flatcars

ICE offers ABC rail cars that can carry between 4 to 8 of our intermodal containers via double stacking. The ABC car has an articulated center pin that allows for better maneuvering in tight locations and allows for the car to have a greater carrying capacity (177 tons). The increased capacity of the ABC car allows customers that are direct rail served to load their containers heavier than over the road limits which saves them time and money. ICE also has access to 100 ton four position flatcars if the project does not require an ABC car.
Tank Cars

ICE can provide our customers with a variety of tank car equipment to meet their needs. We specialize in providing cars that haul bleach solution, waste water, ethanol and biofuels, and acids. We have the experience and expertise to get our customer the proper lining and car type for the material that they are shipping.
Box Cars

ICE has access to 50' and 60' interior length boxcars which can be used to haul various products including paper, auto parts, etc.
Hopper Cars

ICE offers a variety of covered hoppers ranging from low capacity cement style 3,300 cubic foot cars to large capacity 6,350 covered hopper cars to haul Distillers Dry Grain (DDG). We specialize in shipping K061 Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) dust in mid-size 4,750 cubic foot covered hopper cars. Our hopper cars are typically 286,000 lbs.
Steel Coil Cars

ICE has access to longitudinal covered coil steel cars used for finished coil transportation. The car has a trough with coil stops in which the finished steel coils are loaded onto. The trough is covered by a removable cover that can be outfitted with insulation or a gasket to protect the steel coils from the weather. The cars can handle coils that range from of 30" to 84" in diameter and have an estimated lightweight of 60,000 lbs., including the coil cover. The total payload of the car is approximately 225,000 lbs.
Intermodal Container Equipment

ICE’s intermodal containers are versatile containers that can be transported via highway, rail, or marine. The containers are typically 25.4 cubic yard capacity and are 20' long by 6'6" high by 8' wide. The containers come in both tarp top and one piece aluminum lid styles. The doors and lids have a rubber gasket that prevents water and weather from getting inside the container. The containers are often shipped in combination with our ABC railcars.
Cargo Container Equipment

ICE has 20' and 40' modified cargo containers which have back up gasket door seals and gasketed metal lids that allow for a weather tight container to keep the material inside dry. The containers can be custom modified with extensions, D-rings, etc. to suit whatever needs our customer have.
Transloading Services

ICE has the ability to set up off site locations to transfer material from highway to rail or marine and vice-versa. Our experience in the transloading industry allows us to pick out the best location suited to take our customers products and materials and safely transfer it from one conveyance to another. The transloading process is a cost effective way to transport products and materials long distances.
